How early do I need to stake out a spot on Main Street for the light parade in Magic Kingdom?

    Hi Amy!
Staking out a prime parade viewing spot is a matter of personal pride for some guests and they are willing to begin setting up camp sometimes 60-90 minutes before the parade even starts. I, for one, do not advocate this dedicated, yet maniacal, strategy. Depending where you decide to "stake out", you certainly want to be thinking about your viewing location 30 minutes or so before parade time. I usually scope out the porches and raised planters over in Frontierland...you may be a few people back from the route, but you get a better view because you are above the sitting crowd. I hope this helps you to get a good view, while still fitting in a couple of more rides before the parade. Have a Magical trip!! :)
