how early do you need to make reservations for disney resorts

    Hi Diane,

It is always fun to help a fellow Bay Stater plan their Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

To answer your question, guests can book room-only reservations up to 499-days in advance by calling (407) 939-5277. However, since you asked how early you need to make reservations, that really depends on several factors. Walt Disney World Resort is an extremely popular vacation destination. During certain times of the year, what has become known as "Peak Season", Disney Resort hotels can sell out up to a year in advance. If you are considering traveling during Spring Break or Christmas vacation week, for example, you need to make your plans as soon as possible. If you are concerned that you will miss out on a Special Offer by booking too soon, there is no need to worry. Simply make your initial reservation and pay a deposit (but don't pay in full yet). Then keep an eye on the Special Offers page. If a great deal comes out that is valid during the dates of your upcoming vacation, give them a call and ask the Cast Member to modify your existing reservation to reflect the Special Offer. It's important to note that there are a limited number of rooms available for Special Offers. When making your resort reservation, you have two payment options. You can book a room-only reservation and pay the first nights room and tax or you can book a Magic Your Way Vacation Package and pay a $200 deposit. Changes or cancellations can be made without penalty up until 31 days in advance of your trip. So if you have your heart set on a particular Disney Resort hotel, it's best to book as soon as possible.

    Wishing you magical memories,
