If I have an early morning Chef Mickey reservation and drive myself there, can I leave my car there for the day and use the monorail to Magic Kingdom? I have done this in the past, but not since they started charging for their hotel guest parking.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kathleen!

Breakfast at Chef Mickey's is one of those quintessential Walt Disney World Resort experiences that everyone needs to try at least once. It is super magical to be able to start your day meeting Mickey Mouse and his friends! When you check in at Disney's Contemporary Resort for your breakfast reservation, you'll be able to park in the parking lot there for free for up to three hours. You won't be able to leave your car there and go to Magic Kingdom Park for the day, so let's have a look at a few of your different options for parking and transportation

If you definitely want to drive your car that day, I think the first and best option would be parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center and using the monorail to get to Disney's Contemporary Resort for your breakfast reservation. That way you can leave your car there all day and just walk right into Magic Kingdom Park using the pedestrian path after your breakfast. If you have an early reservation and the monorail isn't running in time for you to get to breakfast, you can always park at the Resort Hotel and move your car to the Transportation and Ticket Center after your meal.

If you've made your Chef Mickey's reservation for a time early in the morning before the complimentary transportation is running, it might just be easier to leave your car behind at let someone else do the driving! If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you can use the Lyft app to request a Minnie Van to take you directly to your destination, or you can use your favorite rideshare service if you're staying off-site.

    Have a magical day, Kathleen!
