How early before your flight do you board the Magical Express for departure? I've read either 3 or 4 hours before your flight, but I'm trying to figure a time to book a ADR for breakfast before we have to leave. Thanks!

    Hi Diana,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! While it's never fun when your Walt Disney World Resort vacation comes to an end, at least Disney's Magical Express makes traveling home really simple.

I'm happy to let you know that while this could change at any point, buses are currently back to picking up Guests around three hours before scheduled departure times for domestic flights. You're correct that there have been times where buses were coming closer to four hours before departures, but that much time at the airport hasn't been necessary lately. To me, it's just one more small way that Disney takes great care of Guests. They'll do everything they can to make sure your vacation is magical, including getting you to the airport on time! No one wants to end their magical visit by running around all stressed out like the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland singing, "I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date!"

You'll receive an envelope the day before your check-out with specific information for your bus ride to the Orlando International Airport, and you'll want to bring that with you to verify with the driver that you're on the right bus. Just a couple of things to keep in mind as you're making your dining reservation...You'll need to arrive back at your Resort hotel at least fifteen minutes before your bus is scheduled to pick you up, and if you have any bags with Bell Services, you'll want to allow some additional time for them to grab them for you. Also, it looks like you're staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort, so don't forget to factor in plenty of travel time to make it back to your Resort hotel from your breakfast.

I'm so glad you be able to soak up even more magic and fun (and maybe a Mickey waffle or two?!) before it's time to return home, Diana!  Have a truly wonderful vacation!
