How early are the first lightning lane time slots for the WDW parks? Are LL times available during early morning hours? Also, since a pass is good for an hour can passes for different rides overlap? Or do start times all need to be an hour apart?

Welcome, Karen, to planDisney! It's lovely to finally meet you, dear. Just like Agatha from WandaVision and Agatha All Along, we've been here all along, providing Guests with valuable planning tips to enjoy a bewitchingly good time at Disney destinations!

First things first, don't worry. It's not chaos magic when planning your Lightning Lane reservations. And it's not the kind of thing you bury deep down inside and tell no one about. After all, I know what you are...you are spectacular. You're going to be able to cook up something very special for your best days ever!

Let's start at the beginning, shall we? Currently, you can make reservations through Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass during regular park hours (subject to availability), not Early Theme Park Entry, special events, or Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. At this time, when you are pre-booking your Lightning Lanes, the system does not typically allow them to overlap, or if it does, they overlap minimally. However, you may be able to modify the times after booking and have them overlap. Of course, this is all subject to availability. Furthermore, this isn't recommended for rides that are far from each other in the park! After all, you wouldn't want to ruin your carefully constructed world.

Karen, you're going to be so good with this magic. And since power wants to be taken, here are some more helpful tips. You're gonna love this!

    • "It's all part of the plan." When booking Lightning Lanes with Lightning Lane Multi Pass ahead of your trip, you will choose from two groups of attractions at each park (except for Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, where there's only one group). You'll be able to choose 1 attraction from Group 1 and two attractions from Group 2, or all three from Group 2.
    • "This isn't over." Once you've redeemed your first Lightning Lane with Lightning Lane Multi Pass on the day of your visit, you'll be able to book another available attraction. You can keep doing this for every reservation you redeem until there is no more availability or you're done for the day, whichever comes first!
    • "It's time to put the pieces together." When making subsequent reservations on the day of your visit, you don't have to worry about groups of attractions anymore. You can book any available attraction, regardless of the group it is in. Plus, if you have the Park Hopper Option, you can book an attraction at a different park.
    • "I am the power behind it all." You can book up to 2 experiences through Lightning Lane Multi Pass per person, per day. They can be in separate parks if you have the Park Hopper Option.
    • "You’re just mad because you didn’t get it." Just note that Guests change their plans often, so you are welcome to check back with the My Disney Experience mobile app leading up to your trip to see if you can modify an experience to a more convenient time or snag an attraction that wasn't previously available.
There's nothing like a perfectly executed plan. If you have any other questions, I'm here for you...because I'm just getting started!

    All in good time,
    Matt
