How early can we find out if a park is closed Due to maximum occupancy being reached on that day?

Hey Howdy Hey Ambreen and welcome to planDisney!

There is no better place to celebrate the most magical time of year than being in the Most Magical Place on Earth! Being at the Walt Disney World Resort for Christmas and New Year's is a big cause for celebration. As you have mentioned, this is also a super popular time for many Guests to visit which can lead to capacity limitations. Let's go over a few things to ensure you get the best shot at getting into the parks.

The first place you will be notified if the parks reach capacity will be on your My Disney Experience app. Make sure that you have the latest version of the app installed on your smartphone before your vacation. Also, make sure you allow push notifications to be shared from this app in your phone's settings. These tips will ensure you have the most up-to-date information before your vacation.

Considering you will be visiting during a very special time of the year, I would prioritize your days with the use of a crowd calendar. If you do an internet search for "crowd calendars for Walt Disney World" you will be given a few options, most of which are free. Check them out as they will use historical data to estimate which parks will be the busiest on which days. Magic Kingdom is typically the one that may close due to capacity limitations but not always every day. These calendars may help to navigate the crowds and let you know the chances of how busy the parks will be. The busier the rating, the sooner you want to get there so you can secure your spot in the parks!

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your Magical vacation. I hope Santa and Mickey bring you a Holiday celebration full of Enchanting memories! Let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,
