    Will early Extra Magic Hours in April/May 2020 for Disney's Hollywood Studios allow guests to either get a boarding pass early for Rise of the Resistance or even possibly ride the attraction without needing a boarding pass?

    Hello Joshua! Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your trip to a galaxy far, far away will be here before you know it! 

    Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance continues to generate a lot of excitement! This attraction in Disney's Hollywood Studios is one of the most technologically advanced rides that I've ever experienced! In fact, it is less like a ride and more like an 18-minute Star Wars movie with you as the star!

    Currently, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance does not operate during Extra Magic Hours. Guests wishing to experience this attraction must download the My Disney Experience App on their mobile device. Once you have entered Disney's Hollywood Studios during normal operating hours, you may use the app to join a Boarding Group. I highly recommend joining the Boarding Group as soon as normal operating hours begin for the day. For example, if normal operating hours begin at 8:00AM, then have your app ready to go at that time! If you happen to be in the park earlier for Extra Magic Hours, you will not be able to join a Boarding Group until regular operating hours have started for the day.
