Epcot at Dusk

Hi there, I have been up early every day, trying to snag a reservation at 220 Space. The pop up says two things: 1. No times available and 2. Not offered. I find these phrases conflicting. I am an Annual Pass Holder and live local, no hotel needed.

    Hi Tracy,

Welcome back to planDisney and thank you for asking us another great question!

Space 220 Restaurant at EPCOT is a really fun and unique dining experience. Dare, I say that it’s out of this world?! (Okay, okay, that one hurt me, too…) All kidding aside, because it’s a relatively unique and new dining location, it’s really tough to snag a Disney Dining reservation there, even if you’re checking 60 days prior to your reservation date. One of the biggest reasons for the lack of availability is the fact that Guests staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can make Disney Dining reservations as of 60 days prior to their arrival date, which means that they have an extra couple of days “head start” on people who are staying “off property” or locals.

Don’t despair, however! There are ways to grab a reservation at some of the most coveted Disney restaurants without that head start. First, if your plans are flexible, I find that there is often great availability, even at extremely popular locations, in the days before my planned visit. I’ve had great luck with last-minute dining reservations at Space 220, as late as the morning of my visit to EPCOT, so I’d recommend that you check back frequently.

Also, I believe that the Space 220 Lounge still has “walk up” availability, where you can wait in line for a table. You can always check in at the podium relatively early in the day to see whether they can accommodate you. Sometimes, “’Walk Up” availability will also pop up on your My Disney Experience Mobile App; just look up Space 220 and click on the “Walk Up” icon. Finally, you might want to check out some of the online Disney dining “reservation finders” to see whether they can help you in your search.

I hope my tips help you grab a reservation at this Disney Dining hot spot. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
