Bright suns, Barbara! Welcome back to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with such a great planning question, my fellow early bird!
You are definitely someone after my own Disney-planning heart, Barbara! My favorite strategy for making the most of my Walt Disney World Resort vacations is getting an early start to rope-drop the theme parks and take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests. And since you already know about the oh-so-convenient, time-saving
Rider Switch feature, which allows Guests to take turns waiting with the little Mouseketeers, it sounds as if your planning is off to a practically perfect start. Now, let's get your loose planning ends tied up so you can sit back, relax and start your pixie-dusted countdown!
I think you will be happy to hear that the Rider Switch service for participating attractions
is available during Early Theme Park Entry! However, although my party and I did use Rider Switch at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance last year, I noticed that this attraction, unfortunately, is no longer listed as one of the
attractions offering the option for Rider Switch on the Walt Disney World website.
Hakuna Matata, Barbara! It means "no worries!" I'd love to share what I would do in your situation to experience the awesome attractions and spend less time waiting in line. If the option is still available to purchase an
Individual Lightning Lane for Rise of the Resistance during your vacation, I suggest purchasing one for each member of your party who will be riding the attraction on the My Disney Experience app when you're able to, right at 7:00 a.m. Then, you can rope-drop and use Rider Switch at Slinky Dog Dash, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run or the other available options during Early Entry. Once it's time to return for your Lightning Lane, one adult Guest can stay with the little one while the others tap into the Lightning Lane entrance, and then you can switch. The Resistance needs you!
I hope this was helpful, Barbara, and I hope you and your family have the most magical and memorable adventure! Please feel free to stop by any time with any questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
Til the Spire,
Mandy
