If early entry is 8:30 what time do they let people into the parks? If we showed up at 8:00 would we be let in or would we have to wait in a line? Thanks!

Welcome back to planDisney, Tara! It's exciting to see your next visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is coming up soon! You're going to have an amazing time celebrating summer with exciting new offerings like Disney Dreams That Soar and attractions like Tiana's Bayou Adventure! I hope you're ready to experience all the magical new additions alongside your favorites!

Tara, Early Theme Park Entry is my absolute favorite perk for being a Disney Resort hotel Guest! That extra time in the Theme Parks allows you to easily experience a few attractions with a more minimal wait, or just enjoy the ambiance of a less crowded morning taking in the sights of your favorite Theme Park!

In my experience, Guests will be allowed entry to the parks about 30 minutes before Early Entry officially begins, so if Early Entry is for 8:30 AM, eligible Guests will generally be allowed to tap into the turnstiles for entry starting at approximately 8:00 AM. From here, Guests are usually asked to scan again to verify their Disney Resort hotel reservation and then allowed to move to the queue for their chosen first attraction of the day. The attractions will open at exactly 8:30 AM, so in my experience, you want to arrive to the park at least 30-45 minutes ahead of Early Entry to maximize your time - this ensures you enough time to tap in and get in line for your first attraction.

If you plan to utilize Disney Resort Transportation from your Disney Resort hotel, most transportation options will begin running 45-60 minutes ahead of Early Entry; if you are taking a Disney bus, you can check the bus wait times under your Hotel Reservation tab in the My Disney Experience mobile app. This will ensure you know when the bus is expected to arrive, and the app will also tell you what time you can expect to arrive at your destination! I make a habit of checking the app as I am getting ready so I can hustle everyone out the door in enough time to catch the first or second bus of the day!

Tara, I hope this helps you to plan for a smooth morning and an extra magical 30 minutes in the parks! If you have any other vacation planning questions, come on back to planDisney and let us know! We're always happy to sprinkle some pixie dust on your plans!

    See you real soon,
