The
Live Broadway style shows onboard the Disney Cruise are a must see, Elizabeth! Definitely, try not to miss any of them. My family and I usually arrive about 10-15 minutes early to get a good seat for four. Just in case there is a special showing or a premier, then you'll definitely want to arrive sooner to get a good spot. It's more fun to sit right next to each other, as you already know.
Watch out for the
Golden Mickey's... it is usually dress up night too. My husband and I, usually go inside the Walt Disney Theater early to take our seats, and our 2 kids purposely follow a few minutes later. They love being part of the Pre-Show festivities on the red carpet, so they wait in line with the crowd. Rona Rivers, the Disney Cruise celebrity interviewer, talks to the kids and gets them in front of the camera. The camera broadcasts live into the theater -- where we get to watch our kids being interviewed on the big screen.
When my 2 kids were younger, they got a chance to take part in the show at the beginning of our voyage,
All Aboard: Let the Magic Begin. We showed up extra early at the theater, and the Youth Counselor was looking for kids to join Snow White on stage during the show. What timing! My kids got to be part of the Seven Dwarfs on stage... all because we showed up early to watch the show! :-)
Have a great time sailing on Disney's pixie dusted ships, Elizabeth! Let us know if you need any help planning your very first magical cruise.
