Welcome to planDisney, Tiffany! It looks like you'll be starting the new year off surrounded by magic at the Walt Disney World Resort; I can't imagine a better way to start fresh than surrounded by the magic!
Tiffany, I had the opportunity to dine at
Cake Bake Shop Restaurant on a recent visit with some friends, and the ambiance, menu, drinks, and desserts were all fantastic! It's definitely a great dining choice, and its location on
Disney's BoardWalk is convenient for enjoying EPCOT or Hollywood Studios on the same day! Because of the restaurant's popularity, it's recommended you make your
advance dining reservations as early as possible - which is 60 days ahead of time, starting at 6 AM EST. If you're staying as a guest at a Disney Resort hotel, you can make your dining reservations 60 days in advance of your check-in date for your entire stay, up to 10 days. This is a great perk for those harder-to-get reservations, as you'll be booking ahead of guests who are not staying on Disney property.
Tiffany, you can also visit the
Cake Bake Shop Bakery right next door to the restaurant for grab-and-go dessert options if you'd like! After our meal, we opted to do this to take some desserts home with us (the raspberry champagne cake was my favorite!) and to also have the experience of visiting both locations. Be aware that sometimes there is a line outside the entrance, but it usually moves pretty quickly.
I hope this helps, Tiffany, and I hope you're able to grab your reservation as soon as your window opens! You won't be disappointed with the experience! If you have any other questions before your visit, come see us again any time at
planDisney! We'll help make your planning a piece of cake!
See you real soon,
Alison
