    If we have early dining reservations, what is the best way to get to the park with plenty of time to spare? We are staying at AKL and I'm not sure the 45 minutes the buses run before opening will be enough!

    Hello, Sarah. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. 

    I am excited that you'll be staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge on your upcoming vacation. It's a beautiful resort. I hope you'll plan to spend a little time exploring all that the resort has to offer.  There are over 30 different species of animals that can be found around the resort so be sure to keep an eye out for your favorite. If you are looking for something more up close and personal with the animals, check out Sense of Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. You are totally right, if you have early morning dining reservations the complimentary transportation might not start running in enough time to get you there. I highly suggest using Disney's Minnie Van Service instead. This service is offered through the Lyft mobile app so be sure to have that downloaded on your smartphone before your trip. Disney's Minnie Van Service starts running at 6:30 am every morning and it's a quick trip just about anywhere you need to go. To request a Minnie Van simply open the Lyft app. Type in your destination and select the Minnie Van vehicle. If the Minnie Van vehicle isn't the default displayed just swipe through the options until you see it. Prices are based on distances but that is all displayed and taken care of conveniently through the app.

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
