Hiya, David.
Welcome to planDisney. I’m glad you’ve chosen to enjoy a stay at one of the fantastic
Disney Resorts Collection hotels for your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. From the unique theming,
complimentary transportation,
Early Theme Park Entry,
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours (for Deluxe Resort Guests), and the proximity to the parks, staying on property immerses you in the magic of Disney.
Guests staying at a Disney Resort can check in at 3 PM (4 PM if staying in a Deluxe Villa) due to check-out being at 11 AM. This gives Mousekeeping enough time to clean each room between Guests thoroughly. I suggest using the
Direct-To-Room-Service through your MyDisney account or the
My Disney Experience app. Typically, but not always, if you utilize the mobile check-in and don’t make any special room location requests, you may get one of the first available rooms. Upon arrival, I would also go straight to the front desk to speak to a Cast Member so they can make a special note on your file. Of course, there are no guarantees, so I'd plan to explore your temporary home away from home or book an excellent sit-down breakfast. I’d also recommend packing your swimsuits in your carry-on bag so you can relax by the pool!
David, if you’d like to
submit me another question about which Disney Resort you have reserved, I would be happy to give you additional recommendations to pass the time while you wait for your room to be ready. For example, if staying at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, not only can you relax in the lobby listening to the beautiful sounds of the piano, but you could also hop on the monorail and enjoy breakfast at Chef Mickey’s at
Disney’s Contemporary Resort or Kona Café at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. By the time you have finished exploring your resort and a few others, your room may be ready for you.
See you real soon!
Brent
