How early can you check into hotel?

    Hi Nora!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sprinkling some pixie dust my way with your question! I’m so excited about your stay at a Disney Resort in just a few months! There’s something so magical about being fully immersed in the magic, even after the parks close. My family lives nearby, but we absolutely adore staying at Disney Resorts. From exploring the unique theming to indulging in delightful snacks and shopping at the resort gift shops, it’s a dream!

Now, let’s get to your check-in questions and help you get started on your adventure. Nora, you have two magical ways to check in: When you arrive at your Disney Resort, you can check in at the front desk at any time. Keep in mind that rooms are typically ready after 3:00 p.m. But don’t worry—if your room isn’t ready, you can drop off your luggage with Bell Services and dive straight into the magic! Whether it’s enjoying your resort’s incredible amenities, hopping over to the theme parks, or heading to Disney Springs, your adventure can begin right away.

The second way to check in is through the Direct-to-Room Service. You can skip the front desk and check-in right now using Disney’s Direct-to-Room service on the My Disney Experience mobile app. Once your reservation is linked, open the app and scroll to your Disney Resort hotel. Tap “Start Check-In Now” and fill in the details like your arrival time, a credit card for room charges, and a cell phone number for updates. Then, when your room is ready, you’ll receive a notification with your room number.

With Direct-to-Room Service, you can unlock your door with your MagicBand or the Unlock Door feature in the app. And the magic doesn’t stop there—you can begin enjoying resort amenities, like the pool or dining areas, even before your room is ready. On your checkout day, you can also continue to enjoy the resort’s facilities for the rest of the day.

No matter how you check in, your Disney adventure awaits! As you get closer to your trip, please stop by again if you have any other questions.

    Happy planning,

    Christina
