Hi! How early can you check in for dinner reservations? We have an 8:15 at Ohana...but that is a bit late for my boys. I would like to make sure we are seated by then..or even earlier if possible. Thanks!

    Hi Heather:

'Ohana is an extremely popular restaurant, and it's easy to understand why.  I cannot guarantee that the restaurant will be able to accommodate you early.  But here are some tips that may help increase the chances to secure an earlier reservation or be seated as close to 8:15 as possible.

I would call regularly, or check online, to see if you could secure an earlier reservation.  Especially in the days leading up to the reservation.  Due to cancellations, it's possible you may be able to secure an earlier slot.  On the evening of your reservation, I would show up to the restaurant up to 30 minutes early, but only if you will be prepared to wait that long if the restaurant is not able to seat you.  Explain that you understand you may be a bit early to your reservation, but you are ready early if they can accommodate you.  In my experience, if Disney is able to accommodate your request, which will depend on the restaurant crowd that evening, they will do so.  I would bring some toys or books to help distract your children in case the restaurant is not able to immediately accommodate your request.

    Enjoy your vacation.
