Hey there, Sandra, and welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for stopping the panel with your question! Your Walt Disney World Vacation will be here before you know it, so it’s great to see you here putting the finishing touches on your vacation planning. Isn’t it great to have Disney Transportation take care of all the driving on your vacations? As the family navigator, I enjoy hopping into the passenger seat and being whisked around the resort. It’s probably one of my favorite aspects of my Disney Vacation!
Sandra, Resort transportation between Disney Resorts Collection hotels and Disney Springs is available during Disney Springs operating hours. While Disney Springs’ opening hours for your arrival date have yet to be released, I can pretty confidently say that they’ll be later than the traditional breakfast window. So, I doubt this is a viable option for you. But Hakuna Matata - it means no worries! There are a few more transportation options to get you to reservations with time to spare.
The great news is that you can reach both destinations through the same initial route. Since you are staying in Disney’s Art of Animation Resort as part of your visit, you have access to the Disney Skyliner! In my opinion, the Skyliner is the most convenient of the Disney Transportation options. To head to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or Disney’s Old Key West Resort, start by boarding the Skyliner headed for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Once at Hollywood Studios, hop on the bus to your desired Resort. The buses run every 20 minutes, so remember to factor this in when planning out your travel time.
Without knowing the park hours for your vacation dates, or your reservation times, it’s difficult to definitively say that this is the best option for you. So, I suggest checking the My Disney Experience mobile app to find the best directions and confirm your travel route. You can follow the steps below to find directions in the app:
- Open the My Disney Experience App on your mobile device
- Select the Magnifying Glass icon at the bottom of the screen
- Search for your destination
- Click “Get Directions”
- Enter your starting location, and the app will display your travel options
I hope this helps, Sandra! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation, stop back by and let me know!
You’ve got a friend in me,
