Hey there, hi there, Laura! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney and thanks for stopping by with such a great planning question!
Eeeek! In just days, you'll arrive at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge and will instantly be transported to the picturesque Pacific Northwest for your magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. I know you must be getting
so excited! This Resort is absolutely stunning, and with its unmatched theming, oh-so-fun
pools, fantastic
dining and location that's just a short, scenic boat ride to Magic Kingdom Park, it's the perfect, peaceful home away from home
right in the middle of the magic. Now, let's chat about getting you to breakfast, shall we?!
To get from Wilderness Lodge to
Chef Mickey's (YUM!) at Disney's Contemporary Resort using the complimentary
Walt Disney World transportation, I usually recommend taking the boat from Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom and then walking or taking the monorail over to the Contemporary from Magic Kingdom. However, since it looks like the boat from Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom does not start running until 7:30 a.m., you would not make it to your breakfast reservation on time. But Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries." I have a couple more suggestions for you.
In my experience staying at Wilderness Lodge and having a very early breakfast reservation, the buses were running from Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom before the boat began operating for the day. I recommend checking with a Cast Member at your Resort's front desk to see if buses will begin running to Magic Kingdom early enough for you to make your 7:30 reservation.
If the bus will not be running that early or if you simply prefer the convenience of being picked up outside Wilderness Lodge and dropped off in front of the Contemporary for your breakfast reservation, I recommend using the
Minnie Van Service via the Lyft app. The two Resorts are not far from each other at all, so this will save you a ton of time and early-morning energy. While it does come at a fee, it is totally worth it, in my opinion. This is my new favorite way to travel from one Resort to another. Arrive for breakfast on time and in polka dot style!
I hope this was helpful, Laura, and I hope you have the most magical and memorable holiday! Feel free to stop by any time with any questions you may have. You've got a friend in me.
See ya real soon!
Mandy
