How early can I arrive on check in day to obtain my resort cards? Are the entrance guards there 24/7?

Hey there, Jeanne, and welcome to planDisney! We're so glad you stopped by. It means a lot that you chose to bring your question to us, and what a great question it is! So, without further ado, let's get to it.

I see you have an upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort! Like you, I love making the most of every magical moment, so I always recommend arriving early on check-in day. There are so many wonderful benefits to staying at a Disney Resort hotel, and I try to enjoy them as soon as possible. For me, the perfect start to any adventure is arriving early, lounging by the pool, and soaking up the atmosphere of your resort. I like to pack a separate pool bag so we can easily change into swimwear and check the rest of our luggage with Bell Services. I use this same strategy when heading to the theme parks or Disney Springs. After dropping off my luggage, I hop on the complimentary transportation, and off to Neverland I go!

You can pick up your Key to the World card as soon as you arrive on check-in day. Just let the Cast Member at the front desk know you'd like to use your card for theme park entry. My friend Fred, who is a Cast Member, also shared that there will always be someone at the front desk 24/7 to assist you whenever you need.

Bonus tip: You can check in online or through the My Disney Experience app, which lets you use MagicMobile to turn your phone into your theme park ticket. You can also use your MagicBand+ once you check in. I like to have all three options handy: MagicMobile, MagicBand, and the Key to the World card, just in case my phone battery dies or I misplace one. It’s always nice to have a backup!

Jeanne, once again, thank you so much for allowing us the pleasure of assisting you today. Come back and see me anytime.
