Hi there, Kris. Welcome to planDisney and thanks for taking the time to stop by with your questions for us.
Like you, I’m quite the planner when it comes to my family’s vacation. It’s a wonderful feeling to have something fun to look forward to. Of course, dining is a big part of a Disney vacation. We’re all foodies in my family and while we enjoy quick, casual dining options during the day at the parks, we like to relax our tired feet and talk about our day over a table service dinner.
You’re correct, Kris, in that you can make
dining reservations 60 days in advance at
select table service restaurants at the Disneyland Resort. Typically, most reservations are open by 6 AM PST. However, I have heard from Disney pals that some dining reservations open as early as 3 AM PST. Sometimes, Stitch also likes to wreak havoc so be sure to have some patience when booking your dining reservations. I have personally not tried booking at 3 AM PST but I have had luck with reservations at 6 AM PST. If possible, I suggest doing a trial run on a random morning at 6 AM PST to see which dining reservations are available. And if you’re up for it, with enough coffee, perhaps you can even do a trial run at 3 AM PST just to be sure.
If you’re not able to snag the dining reservations you want 60 days in advance, you can check back from time to time on the
Disneyland mobile app as Guests change their plans and cancel their reservations. While you’re in the parks, you can also try to
join a walk-up list for a same-day reservation at select table service restaurants using the Disneyland mobile app.
I wish you a magical time on your upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth! If you have more trip-planning questions, please feel free to swing by planDisney again. We’re happy to help!
Have a pixie-dusted day,
Kiki
