    What is the earliest you can arrive at the parks? When does transportation start running? When does the parking lot toll booths open?

    Hi Melissa!  It sounds like you are an early bird who wants to be at rope drop for the many parks. Arriving when the parks open is certainly a good way to beat the crowds and long lines that will begin by mid morning.

    The theme park parking lots generally open about two hours in advance of the park opening for that day. Please continually check the operating hours for any of the four parks as these can change constantly. Bus, boat, and monorail transportation to the parks generally operates about 45 minutes before park opening. If you want to enjoy rope drop you can easily get a front spot when you reach the parks an hour before they open.

    Many of the parks will actually open their gates about 15 minutes before the announced opening time to free up the queuing areas. You will walk to another location where they will have a rope drop. Animal Kingdom is one of the parks and I love what they do right in front of the Tree of Life. It will start your day off with some magic!
