In an earlier response you said you'd done Disney in January when it was cold. If it is cold, are you still able to ride the attractions/have a lot of fun or does cold weather really put a damper on what you can do?

That trip was bitterly cold, Vicki!  I shiver just thinking about it.  The good news, though, is that the weather didn't limit the attractions we experienced.  Well, I guess that isn't entirely true; we wouldn't have dreamed of going on a water ride like Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids.  There were plenty of other crazies who did, though!  We {wisely} chose to skip getting wet but beyond that we were able to experience the same attractions we normally would.  We just bundled up and headed out to the parks and had a wonderful--albeit different--experience.  There were plenty of opportunities to warm up with a hot cup of cocoa and we took full advantage.  I have super fond memories of that trip and our fuzzy sweater Disney days!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
