Welcome to planDisney, Jennifer! Thank you for stopping by with your question.
I understand how important hair styling tools are to a person. The Disney Cruise Line
prohibited and restricted items list states hairdryers must be 230V and 450 watts or less. This is for the safety of all Guests. While I don't own any Dyson products, it seems as if those products have a higher wattage than the threshold. Some of my planDisney pals have shared that the electrical systems on the ships, including the
Disney Wish, do not support Dyson products. Disney Cruise Line reserves the right to seize and secure any item that doesn't meet safety specifications.
There is a hairdryer in each stateroom, but if you have other products from home that meet the safety specifications, then I suggest you bring those. There is a heat mat in the vanity/desk drawer for you to use to protect surfaces as well.
Jennifer, I know this is not the news you wanted to hear, but I hope it helps you with your cruise planning. Disney Cruise Line offers salon treatments in
Senses Spa & Salon. This can be reserved once your
advance booking window starts. If you have any other questions, sail back to
planDisney. We are here to help!
Adventure is out there!
