We are going to DW 9/8-9/14 w/ a 5yr and a 16m. we want to take it everything and not miss a thing. is there anything that we just CAN NOT miss. also we are still debating to upgrade our tickets to park hopper.. thoughts? where r the characters?

    Hi Mary!

I will answer the easy questions first. You can find Disney characters in all of the theme parks. When you get to a park, you should pick up a map and a Times Guide. The Times Guide will list the various Meet and Greets throughout the park and when the characters will be there. You should also consider a Disney Character Dining Experience which would allow more interaction with characters while enjoying a good meal. Just be sure to make an Advance Dining Reservation as those restaurants are very popular and fill up quickly.

With regards to the Park Hopping option, I suggest not getting it if you are on the fence. My family doesn't always use it even when we already have it. It is easy to spend an entire day or more in each park. Also you can add it once you are at Walt Disney World. Just keep in mind that the cost is the same regardless of whether you purchased it on the first day of your trip or the last.

With young children, you will probably spend a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom. However, you should definitely visit all four theme parks. All of the parks have attractions suitable for guests of all ages. It is impossible to do everything in a single trip or even many trips, so don't try. Epcot is usually the least favorite park of young children, so you might want to visit that park first.

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions.
