    We will be at DW for 1 wk in March '12. Want to sign up our 8 y/o for the Jedi Training. Should we make a point to go to HS on a day that offers EMH (even if its a Saturday) or will we be ok as long as we get there right when it opens on a day w/o EMH?

    From what I have seen, your 8-year-old will have a fantastic time at the Jedi Training Academy.

    Your best chance of signing up for the Jedi Training Academy would be to arrive at Disney's Hollywood Studios 30 minutes before the park opens..  As soon as it opens, make your way straight to the Jedi Training Academy stage, and ask a Cast Member about signing up for a show that day.  Don't forget to pick up a daily Entertainment Times Guide on your way into the park, to check for show times.

    I don't think it is essential to go to Disney's Hollywood Studios on a day that offers Extra Magic Hours, as long as you arrive there early.
