We are going to DW 12/28-1/2. We are trying to make reservations, but a lot of places are booked up. Where can you eat if you don't have reservations?

    Hi Josh,

You can always eat at Disney's quick service restaurants without reservations.  This type of restaurant can be found in all of the Disney theme parks and resorts.  However, if you have table service credits that you want to use from the Disney Dining Plan you'll want to use a different strategy.  Call (407) WDW-DINE and simply ask what table service restaurants have openings in the parks you'll be visiting.  You may need to be flexible with your dining times.  Reservations are much more readily available if you're willing to eat at non-peak hours, especially during the holiday season.

Another tips is to consider eating at the table service restaurants near (rather than in) the Disney theme parks.  For instance, ask if there are reservations available at the Wave in Disney's Contemporary Resort, the Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, or Kona Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Resort on the day you visit the Magic Kingdom.  Each of these restaurants can be easily reached via boat or monorail from the Magic Kingdom and yet many guests overlook them.  Similarly, consider dining at Beaches & Cream at Disney's Beach Club Resort on the day you visit Epcot.  They don't even take reservations.  And don't forget there are some incredible table service restaurants at Downtown Disney too!

So give the Disney Dining line a call and see if this expanded list of options might yield some table service reservations for your upcoming trip.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
