Hi Courtney,
Do you have your official countdown going yet? My family loves making a paper chain, decorating it with all of the fun things we'll see and do during our vacation, and tearing off one link each day to build excitement and anticipation. With just a little over two months to go, it won't be long until all of your Disney dreams are coming true!
My family has visited the Walt Disney World Resort that same week multiple times, and I'm happy to let you know that I'd consider the crowds to be at a fairly moderate level then. While the beginning of the month through Veteran's Day and the week of Thanksgiving can be a bit more crowded due the
Wine & Dine Half Marathon and school breaks, the rest of the month usually slows down a bit. You are correct, though, that
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge just recently opened, so it's possible that crowds at Disney's Hollywood Studios may be a bit heavier. In my opinion, though, the number one tip for having a smooth trip isn't necessarily avoiding crowds, but rather having a good plan. I'd encourage you to arrive 30 - 45 minutes prior to the official opening time (or closer to 60 minutes beforehand for Magic Kingdom Park), as that will give you plenty of time to go through security and ticketing and be among the first Guests into the theme park for the day. We've always found that we can enjoy several attractions first thing in the morning with very little waiting. Then, we like to schedule our
FastPass+ selections to begin mid-morning. Plus, did you know that once you've enjoyed your three pre-scheduled FastPass+ experiences, you may use the My Disney Experience mobile app or an in-park kiosk to make additional selections, one at a time? The FastPass+ service will save you so much time and allow you to experience even
more magic and fun! Oh, one more tip for saving lots of time? When your tumbly gets rumbly like Winnie the Pooh's, I'd suggest taking advantage of
mobile ordering. You can place your order no matter where you are, then with one simple click, let the Cast Members know once you've arrived so they can prepare your meal. You'll be notified when your order is ready and can completely bypass any restaurant lines. It's pretty sweet!
Thanks so much for visiting us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Courtney, and please feel free to keep your great questions coming. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation later this year!
