We have been to DW many times. My daughter will be entering middle school this fall. We can no longer pull her out of school for vacation. Someone suggested the 3rd week of August is not busy. Is this true?

Hi Christine!  It's true; traditionally, the last week of August has been a "slow" time of year at WDW.  If you do choose to visit in August, you'll notice another another benefit besides the lower attendance levels: savings.  That time period falls within Disney's value season which means lower resort room rates.  The last couple of years Disney has also offered some pretty enticing travel packages and special entertainment options in August and September as well.

My family typically visits WDW around the same time.  We've always found crowd levels to be very tolerable.  Hopefully you will too!

Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
