Going to DW on Thurs, staying at the Carribean Resort, currently have a Pirate Room reserved. Any ideas/suggestions for asking for or getting an upgrade. This is our first trip with a 6 yearold boy. We are all SUPER excited!!!!

    Hi Kacy,

Congratulations on your upcoming vacation! The Caribbean Beach Resort is delightful. The beaches have playgrounds, the food court is nice, and the pools are fun!

My family has stayed  in a pirate room and our son loved it! He would climb in bed and pretend to go on great seafaring adventures.

Since you are already booked in a pirate room, there really isn't any further upgrade other than a water view that you could wish for. At check-in, kindly inquire if there are any water views available for a comp upgrade. Water views at moderate resorts aren't really a big deal since the hotel has exterior corridors and you're not likely to be in your room enough to sit and look out the window.

Mention at check-in that it is your son's first trip. Sometimes Cast Members will recognize a special occasion by sending balloons or a signed character photo to your room. Definitely get a First Visit complimentary button - just ask!

Wearing the button, your family is sure to get extra smiles and maybe even a small token of acknowledgement such as a free dessert. No guarantees.

A first visit to Walt Disney World is absolutely magical!!
