Hello Michael, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by en route to your destination, the Most Magical Place on Earth.
You must be so excited that your spring getaway is just around the corner. While you can absolutely add another Guest to your travel party, if the
Availability Calendar is showing that there are no reservations left for a particular theme park, you will not be able to make a new
Disney Park Pass reservation for that date. I know this is frustrating, but Hakuna Matata! I have an idea for you.
My recommendation would be for your friend to purchase the
Park Hopper upgrade for his or her ticket. That way, pending availability (which can be checked on the
My Disney Experience Mobile App or by calling 407-560-5000) your friend could join you at
Disney's Hollywood Studios after 2:00 PM. For research purposes, I have been checking daily to track afternoon Park Hopping availability, and even during the busy spring break weeks, all theme parks have been open to afternoon park hoppers every day this month. Your friend should still make a Disney Park Pass reservation for a different theme park to spend the morning in, and then in the afternoon, you can all reunite at Disney's Hollywood Studios for a flight on
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run or a spin on
Alien Swirling Saucers.
Meanwhile, you can also check periodically for openings on the Availability Calendar to see if your friend can join you for the entire day. Sometimes Guests' plans change as their visits approach, and you might get lucky and catch a cancelation.
I hope this is helpful as you make final preparations for your adventure, Michael. Spring is a beautiful time for a Walt Disney World vacation, and be sure to spend some time in World Showcase to see what's blooming at the
Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. A few of
my fellow panelists recently offered some tips for making the most of your visit here, so head over to the
Disney Parks Blog and check them out! Thanks again for stopping by, and we'll see ya real soon.
