Going to DW 3/17. Son is hoping to sign up for Jedi Training. Will get there 1 hr before rope drop. Have an ADR for 2:30 and not sure how to plan FPs around an unknown JTA show time/time in sign up line/show duration. Help?

    Hi Lee,

Thank you for bringing this question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My girls absolutely love Jedi Training, especially the new Trials of the Temple experience. We had this same dilemma on our first attempt at Jedi Training. We barely made it back to Jedi training in time! During our most recent visit, we made an Advanced Dining Reservation for breakfast at Hollywood & Vine to get into the park before the park opened. Doing so allowed us to enter the park before the line for Jedi Training sign-up got a mile long! The Cast Members at Hollywood & Vine were very accommodating. I took the girls to sign-up for Jedi training and returned for us to finish our meal. We literally could choose from any available training time slot.

I would plan for the training experience to last about an hour since the show time is about 20 minutes and younglings must be present about 30 minutes prior to show time. There typically is a PhotoPass photographer at the training experience to capture fantastic photos of the entire show. If you have purchased Memory Maker and linked it to your My Disney Experience Account, your Jedi Training photos will link directly to your My Disney Experience Account.

If you cannot get into the park before park opening, go with your original plan to be there before rope drop. May I also suggest that one adult without a bag or backpack go with your son through the park entry area? The line for people without bags is generally much shorter so that will save you time.

May the Force Be With You!
