We are going to DW 9/20-26 and plan on attending the MNSSHP on 9/23.I know apparently there is a great parade and light show at the castle what time does this start so we dont miss it?Also how do we get around MK all day with halloween costumes to put on?

Oh Derek, you'll love the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party; it's such a blast!  In years past they've had two parades (8pm and 10 pm I believe) during the parties with the fireworks taking place in between.  That doesn't necessarily mean they'll do it that way again though.  I recommend taking a look at the special party brochure you'll get upon entering the park for the party.  It will not only show event times, but it will also have a map and a listing of the attractions/restaurants open during the party.

As for managing your costumes, I say your best bet would definitely be to make a quick trip back to your resort to change in to them.  In fact, if you can you might consider skipping park touring altogether on the day of the party.  Hang out by the pool instead and take a nice nap.  You'll need lots of energy to make it all the way through the midnight closing time after the party.  Have a spooktacular time!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
