Going to DW in Nov. w/ 1 y/o and 3.5 y/o daughters. Is HS 50's Prime Time Cafe or Sci-Fi Dine In Theater more appropriate?

Greg--you have just asked about my 2 favorite restaurants! (Well, if you look through the rest of my questions/answers you'll see I call everything my favorite.) But honestly, at Hollywood Studios? I love these restaurants!

So. To answer your question. (That's why we're here, right?) I vote for 50's Prime Time Cafe. It looks like an old 50's kitchen complete with little TVs at most tables playing all your favorite old shows (Donna Reed, Dick Van Dyke, etc.), the waiters treat you like family (REALLY like family!). It's comfort food and feels comfy ambiance.

The Sci-Fi Diner is like walking IN to the OUTSIDE. You are in an old drive-thru movie theater! You sit in cars that have been turned to tables (so, it's 2 per seat) and watch a giant movie screen showing old "horror" movies (like Creature from the Blue Lagoon and Attack of the Killer Grasshoppers). it's very dark and if your daughters are freaked out by large or weird things, this might not be a good idea. I mean, it's all very fun and tongue-in-cheek, but not sure if little kids would get it.

    Hope that helps!
