Hello and welcome to planDisney, Joanne!
I love that you are planning to gift your loved ones with a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation! It is undoubtedly a gift that lasts far beyond your return home because those memories will stick with you.
I always tell friends and guests that the first thing you will need to know is the travel dates and what
resort you would like to reserve. For me, the other pieces (theme park tickets, dining, etc.) will come together once those two things are figured out. Once you have those two parts figured out, determine how many days you would like to visit the theme parks. If you are looking at a five-day stay, I recommend a 3 to 4-day
theme park ticket (which can include the park hopper and its options if you desire that). When everything is planned, it is time to make the reservation to combine everything into one
vacation package.
You can reserve the vacation package online using your
My Disney Experience account. Each guest should be included on your My Disney Experience account as a guest, which will help if you plan to do all the planning for your group. If the individuals are vacationing as a family of 3, one of the adults on the reservation can set up the account and include the other guests. If you would like real-time assistance with reserving the vacation, you can call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936 so that a cast member can assist you. If you go with this option, you can let the cast member know you are reserving the vacation package as a gift. Another option would be to contact your local travel agent, who will also be able to assist with turning your vision into a gift for your loved ones.
No matter what you decide, we will be here to answer any questions you may have along the way.
Have a magical experience!
