Hi! We will be at DW in May and my 12 year old with Down syndrome would love to do the Jedi training. Is there any way to sign her up ahead of time and would her use of a Disability Access Card be helpful for this at all? Thanks!

    Hello Katie!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having a magical week!

Be sure when you arrive at the parks for the first day of your trip to go straight to Guest Relations to inquire about the Disability Access Service. The cast members are trained to give great information and can provide information and ideas on what accommodations you may need. Different attractions have different queues so while one may be fine for you to wait in, another might not work out as well.

The Disability Access Service will allow you to get a return time for an attraction so you can take your time and visit attractions with shorter wait times instead of standing in the regular queue. You then go to Disney’s Fastpass+ Service entrance when it’s your return time. You can use it in conjunction with Disney's Fastpass+ Service.

Unfortunately, there is no Fastpass or similar for the Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. My advice for that is to get to Hollywood Studios about 30 minutes prior to opening. Once you are allowed to enter the park, head straight to the area by Star Tours – The Adventures Continue to sign up. It is first come, first served.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need anything else as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
