We will be at DW for our 1st holiday trip the week before Christmas (yea!) and I was wondering what would be the easiest way to get from AK to MK resorts via the monorail possibly to view some nighttime Christmas lights along the way? Thanks!

    Hi Sheila,

Walt Disney World is especially magical during the holiday season.

From the Animal Kingdom park, take a bus to the Contemporary Resort. From there, take the monorail to the Polynesian Resort, where you can stop to see the decorations in the atrium area. Next, travel via monorail to the Grand Floridian where you'll gaze at the gigantic Christmas tree and smell the wonderful aroma of the Gingerbread House display.

Take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom where you can then board a bus back to your resort.

Note: if you are first traveling from the Animal Kingdom Lodge, take a bus to the Magic Kingdom where you can board the monorail to begin your tour.

If time permits, take a boat from the Magic Kingdom to the Wilderness Lodge to see the beautiful Christmas tree!

    Enjoy your holiday!
