Come to DW every year, in value season. Doing a DC over Tgiving '13. Debating...4 daycruise & parks or 7 daycruise & no parks. Don't want long lines, but unsure about 7 day cruise. Is there a big crowd dif week OF vs. week after tgiving? SO TORN

Hi Mindy!  Your problem is really a good problem....how to spend your time with the great mouse!

My family chose Thanksgiving week for family reunions for years. It generally is fairly good with crowds the weekend before and up to about the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The days following until Sunday can be quite busy and a time where you want to have planned well with your dining and other activities.

If you have not done a seven day Disney cruise before this would be a perfect time to experience the high seas with Mickey and friends. I love the 7 days over the shorter days as it really does give you a cruise experience. The only benefit of splitting it and only doing a four day is you can see the start of the holiday decorations in the resorts and parks right after Thanksgiving.  Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party will likely have dates around your time as well as the wonderful Candlelight Processional starts the weekend after the holiday.

If you had to choose the week of Thanksgiving or the week after I would most certainly choose the week after. The crowds will be there but nothing like the holiday week. Your choices are good ones...again my personal thought would be do the cruise for seven days for the full experience and something different for the family!
