We will be going to DW at the end of May. I know the Welcome Show at Magic Kingdom has changed. My question is, is Main Street USA open early and the rest of the park closed or do we have to rush to the Castle at 9 when the gates open to see the show

Hello Brandie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Good News, Brandie, no rushing required!

The new Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show at Magic Kingdom not only includes an entertaining spectacle to start your day, but also some additional early time to enjoy Main Street, U.S.A.

Guests are now welcome to enter through the ticket gates at least 25 minutes before the Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show is scheduled to begin. During that time, you can grab a Starbucks coffee and a bite to eat at Main Street Bakery, do some browsing for the perfect Walt Disney World Resort souvenirs in the various shops on Main Street or you could walk all the way up to Cinderella Castle and grab the perfect spot to start you Endlessly Magical day with the Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show.

If you're anything like me and want the perfect Main Street, U.S.A family photo, you may be interested in capturing all of your Magical Memories with Memory Maker, where Disney PhotoPass Photographers will capture the perfect family photo with Cinderella Castle in the background. I don't even bring my camera to the Theme Parks anymore.

Also, be sure to plan out your day at Magic Kingdom by booking your FastPass+ selections and Advanced Dining Reservations using your My Disney Experience Account or through the App on a mobile device. Disney Magic starts with solid planning.

    Enjoy the Show!
