Will be @ DW for 4 dys, 3 adts & 2 children, 5 & 7. Staying at Saratoga 6/30,7/1,2,3 leaving on the 4th for 7 day DCL.Only doing DW 1 day & 1 at Sea Wld. Planning on HDD review & 1900 Cindy dinner. Would the dinning plan be worth it?

    Hi Margaret,

It sounds like you have a great vacation coming up, a few days enjoying Orlando attractions followed by a Disney Cruise!

As far as whether or not the Dining Plan is worth it, well it depends on how you are planning to spend the days that you are staying at Saratoga Springs.  I realize you're only spending one day in the parks and one day at Sea World.  What are you doing for the other two days?

Since you are staying at Saratoga Springs for four nights, if you were to purchase the dining plan, each member of your party would have 4 table service meals, 4 quick service meals and 4 snacks.  The current cost per person for the basic plan is $39.99 for adults and $10.99 for children ages 3-9.  Of course, prices are subject to change.

These 2 meals, alone, would use up 3 table service credits per guest.  You would be left with 1 Table Service, 4 Quick Service Meals and 4 Snacks.  If you think that you will be able to use up these credits during your stay, then the dining plan will probably be worth it for you.  If you think you are going to be too busy to use the last Table Service Meal, then the dining plan may not be your most economical option.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
