We are going to DW in August with a 2 year old and infant. At first I was happy not having to pack car seats and using Disney transportation, but now I'm nervous. Do the resorts have car seats for use in case of emergency (ER visits, etc.?)

Jessica this is an excellent question.  I have asked before if the resort I was staying in had a car seat for us to use for a certain situation and they did not.  I suggested it might be something they should consider but for right now I would have to tell you that they do not have one available for guests.

To ease your nerves we did find out that we could request a taxi cab that would have a car seat.  You might have to wait a little longer but the wait is worth it when wanting your children safely restrained in an automobile.  Florida law does allow for taxis to transport children unrestrained but I understand your feelings about wanting the car seat.

On another note we also have used the service ,Docs On Call, for a sick child and found that was so much better then trying to transport to an emergency room.  The wait was less then an hour and they come directly to the resort room.  If medicine is needed they will dispense one dose and have the rest of the prescription sent to you directly from the pharmacy.  This was an incredible service for us and we found the medical care excellent.  Every resort would have this information and number if you had the unfortunate need for it.

It is good to think about all possibilities before taking a vacation with children.  Disney does everything they can to make your trip as easy and relaxing and magical as possible!
