We will be at DW 11/22-11/28. Is there anything special during Thanksgiving? Parades? Holidays lights yet? Reccomendation on where to eat for Thankgsgiving?

For many years Thanksgiving was always one of my families favorite weeks to be at Walt Disney World.  It had crowds but not like other holidays and then we had the benefit of seeing the start of the holiday season come up all through-out the property with the beautiful decorations.  Disney is now starting that process even earlier in many places and the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party has usually started mid November. When that schedule is published that would be a fun activity for you to do if possible.

The Candlelight Procession has started in the past years the weekend of Thanksgiving.  This is a beautiful holiday story through narration and song performed several times a night at EPCOT. The schedule for this should also be published late summer or early fall at the latest.

The theme parks will have their regular wonderful parades and fireworks during this week as well.

We have tried several places for dinner on Thanksgiving and two of our favorites have been Artists Point in the Wilderness Lodge and Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht and Beach Club resorts.  Dining reservations can be made 90 days out from your arrival date and be sure to be aware of this date so you can call and secure that important meal.  407-939-3463  Be sure and ask the cast member if the restaurant you are reserving for will have the traditional Thanksgiving menu if that is important for your family.
