Going to DW 11/21-27 with 2 adults, 13 son, 16 daughter. Should we stay at a nicer hotel in a single room or 2 rooms at a more economical hotel? We'd like to be near Epcot and Downtown Disney or have easy access to those places. Any suggestions?

This is definitely an opinion question and you can easily get a different answer from someone else but going from my own family experience with kids who were once teens I will send you my advice!

I say go for the location over the extra room and consider staying at my favorite resorts.....either the Yacht of the Beach Club!  They are located just five minutes from the International Gateway entrance  to EPCOT making this park easily accessible even if you want to just do a little walking.  The Boardwalk resort and area is also just across the water and you can find lots of fun things to do there in the evenings.  To add to the perks of this location the Hollywood Studios park is accessible via water taxi or a mile walk along a nice relaxing path.

Downtown Disney is a quick bus ride from either of these resorts.
