We are DVCM visiting WDW in June-7 night stay. We have previously used DDP for length of stay. However, this time we will also be visiting Orlando area outside the resort a couple of days. Can the DDP be purchased for 5 days instead of 7?

    Hi Martha,

The Disney Dining Plan is a great option to add to your Disney Vacation Club Resort reservation. Unfortunately, it is not possible to add the Dining Plan to only a portion of your reservation, as the same dining plan must be purchased for all members of your party for the entire duration of your reservation.

One tip which you may find useful for future trips where you know you will only want the Dining Plan for part of your stay is to book two separate Disney Vacation Club reservations, either at the same Disney Vacation Club Resort, or a different one entirely. Be sure that one of these reservations covers the entire period of time in which you would like to purchase the Disney Dining Plan. Do be aware that even if your two reservations are for the same Disney Vacation Club Resort and room category, there is a chance you may have to switch rooms when transitioning between your two reservations. In most cases, however, subject to room availability this will not be necessary, especially if you make the request in advance of check-in to remain in the same room throughout your stay.

If it turns out that the Disney Dining Plan will not work out for you on this trip, you may wish to consider purchasing Tables In Wonderland. This is a great program available for Disney Vacation Club Members, Annual Passholders and Florida residents. It provides a 20% discount on food and beverage at a large number of participating locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort for a one year period. The current cost for Disney Vacation Club members is $150.

Wishing you all the best in the countdown to your next "Welcome Home" at Disney!
