Hi Linda, thanks for popping by planDisney with your question about Club Level and traveling with a large family. My family has 6 people and we often travel with my sister’s family as well as my mom; a multi-generational Disney trip is so much fun!
The Disney Vacation Club has a variety of different accommodations that fit travel parties of all sizes, from a Duo Studio to a 3-Bedroom Grand Villa. At select Deluxe Disney Resort Collection hotels, Guests can choose to book a
Club Level room and enjoy personalized Concierge service as well as exclusive access to the Resort’s Club Lounge. Unfortunately, the largest DVC Club Level room that can be reserved using Vacation points is a 2-bedroom Lock-off Villa at the Kilimanjaro Club Concierge level in
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas-Jambo House. If you have your heart set on Club Level accommodations, you could try and book more than one Club Level room. If you would like to book a Club Level Room at a
Deluxe Disney Resort in the Disney Collection, you would need to contact Guest Services to convert your Vacation points into Reservation Points. Once converted, you cannot transfer the Reservation points to Vacation points. You also cannot re-use these points for a Disney Vacation Club property. These points have an expiration date (end of the current Use Year).
If you’re looking for unique accommodations for larger groups, my personal favorite is a stay at a
Treehouse Villa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. Here, you'll enjoy the comforts of home with room to sleep up to 9 (plus a child under the age of 3), a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, a private deck and a charcoal grill. The Treehouse Villas are found nestled in the beautiful woodlands along the Sassagoula River and are just the spot for a relaxing and serene stay.
Perhaps your family is looking for something a little more roomy and sleeps up to 12 people; a Grand Villa at one of the Disney Resort Collection Hotels might fit the bill! The Grand Villas have 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen, multiple bathrooms (the number is Resort-dependent) and a large living room perfect for hosting or relaxing.
If you need to book additional rooms for your party, check out the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel site for availability, or you can see which Villas are available by logging into your DVC account. When you are booking, you can request adjoining rooms or one (or more) in proximity. These requests are not guaranteed, but Cast Members will do their best to try and grant your wish.
