Are the DVC villas at the Beach Club the same as the standard rooms? Thanks

    Hi there, Karen!

Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! How wonderful to "sea" you here. It's so exciting that you are considering booking a stay at Disney's Beach Club Resort. This is such a fabulous Resort, as you can spend your days flippin' your fins if you don't need to get too far at the Stormalong Bay pool.  There's a sandy bottom entrance from the Shipwreck Pool for little ones so they can easily enter it on those...what do you call them? Oh yes, feet!  And, did I mention the waterslide from the Shipwreck? It's enough to make Captain Jack a bit jealous!

Karen, the Disney Vacation Club Deluxe Studios and Villas at Disney's Beach Club Resort are different than the standard rooms.  In the Deluxe Studios, you will have a kitchenette with a microwave and a mini-fridge, and typically a sink and some dishes and cutlery to make dining in your room a bit easier.  These rooms typically fit five adults.  Villas are one-bedroom or larger and come with a full-sized kitchen, complete with gadgets and gizmos a plenty, and an in-room washer and dryer. So these Disney Vacation Club accommodations are truly meant to be a home away from home while being immersed in the magic of Disney.

The standard rooms are more of a traditional hotel room.  They will come with a beverage cooler (a mini fridge) and a coffee and tea station.  You can request a microwave for your room and a full-sized coffee pot as we have done in the past. But it does not come with those kitchen amenities you would find in one of the Disney Vacation Club rooms, including plates and cutlery.

Now, if you book a Club Level room, this will offer you special amenities like an on-floor concierge who can make any on-site bookings you need for dining or Enchanting Extras. They also offer complimentary continental breakfasts, mid-day snacks, heavy hors d'ouvres, and evening treats.  So you certainly could fill up on those items.

Our family always prefers a Disney Vacation Club room as it is a lot more comfortable for relaxing, and having the kitchenette or kitchen and laundry (if you are in a Villa) saves time and money on our vacation.  Certainly, the standard rooms are lovely but with the amenities of Disney Vacation Club rooms, life is the bubbles!

I hope this helps you, Karen. If you have any additional questions, swim back over here to me and I'll be so glad to help you!

Enjoy being part of the world on your Disney vacation!
