Hi there, Don!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question about transportation, I'm happy to chat with you!
There are so many details when it comes to planning a vacation and it's often somewhat of a puzzle to sort out transportation to and from the airport. In the past, Guests of
Disney Resort hotels could use Disney's Magical Express service to travel to their Resort but sadly, this service was retired at the end of 2021.
There are a few different transportation options you can use to travel between the Orlando International Airport and
Walt Disney World Resort. If you prefer using a bus service that is similar to the Magical Express, Mears Connect or the Sunshine Flyer might be just the ticket. You can visit their respective company website to find details about what they offer. There's also the option to use a private car service, taxi or a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft.
Another option is to rent a vehicle which is what my family often does especially when we travel with young children. On some trips, we seem to have lots of luggage, strollers and car seats so a vehicle is very convenient especially when travelling with a group. Standard theme park
parking is included for registered Guests of Disney Resort hotels so you wouldn't have to pay additional parking fees during your visit. Resort Guests also receive complimentary parking at Walt Disney World theme parks.
Don, I hope this information has been useful and helps you plan your trip's transportation to and from the airport. Please feel free to stop by
planDisney if you have any further questions.
See ya real soon,
Candace
