After the DVC tower at Poly opens how will guests at Grand Floridian catch a monorail?

Hey, howdy, hey, Janet, and welcome to planDisney.

I am so excited about this new tower at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Having another place to stay around the Seven Seas Lagoon gets me closer to my favorite theme park, Magic Kingdom Park.

There are no plans to plans to shut down the Monorail Station at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa so guests can continue to travel the "Highway in the Sky" when the Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Resort is completed. The Resort Monorail Line will run to the west side of the new tower on the same track. Tower Guests can take the water launches from the Boat Dock to Magic Kingdom Park or ride the Resort Monorail from either the Great Ceremonial House or Disney's Grand Floridian Monorail Station.

Did you know that after the Island Tower is completed at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort you can walk from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom Park? It takes approximately 35-50 minutes depending on how fast you walk, the heat, and whether you stop to take pictures like I do.

Janet, I hope this information helps you plan the best Disney vacation ever. Please feel free to write me back directly for other Disney vacation planning tips.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
