We are DVC and are staying at OKW in a 2 bdrm. We are on the waitlist for near Hospitality House, if we do not get near the HH, what is a good building or area to ask for? Want to be closet to HH and buses! Thanks, love the moms panel.

    Hello, Heather!

You are going to love your stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort!  The extra-lush plantings, laid-back atmosphere and Florida Keys feel are really welcoming!

While many people prefer to stay at the villas right across the street from the Hospitality House, we've often stayed in the villas just across the bridge (units 23, 24, 25 and 26) and soon discovered that we not only had a lovely view, but also found a convenient quirk about the bus stop at those units.  If we missed a certain resort bus at our own stop, but saw it on its return loop back around to pick up Guests at Hospitality House (the bus will pass you on the opposite side of the street, heading from right to left on Penninsular Road, so you'll have to read the front sign of the bus as it's about to pass the stop), we could quickly walk across the bridge and catch that same bus at the Hospitality House.  Depending on the bus route, some buses turn left onto Miller's Road, make that loop and then return for the pick up at Hospitality House.  The walk to the pool from those villas is minimal, too.  Be sure to ask a driver or two for tips regarding your particular location on the bus route at Disney's Old Key West; they are a wealth of knowledge!

If you'd like to look at an unofficial map of Old Key West, you can find one on wdwinfo.com . (Do a Google search for maps of Old Key West and select the one on the above-mentioned site.)  Again, it's not an official site, but it might help you to visualize the scenario I mentioned above.

Enjoy your stay and welcome home!
