Have DVC and can do Salute to Military tickets. Trying to figure out best pricing options. Large multip generaltional family trip for June. Also do we still have to make park reservations and does park hopping work now....we could not use Oct 2020.

    Hey Diane!

Welcome to planDisney from a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member.  My family often travels together as a large, multigeneration group –– our vacations might resemble a traveling circus, but they're so full of love, memories, and lots of laughter that I wouldn't trade the chaos for anything in the world.  I'm so excited to hear that you and your family will be experiencing the same kind of magic during The World's Most Magical Celebration this summer!

Unfortunately, there aren't any current offers on Walt Disney World theme park admission for Disney Vacation Club Members, but there is a special ticket offer just for US Military Eligible Service Members that might be a great fit for your family.  The Disney Military Salute Ticket is a discounted promotion on 4-Day and 5-Day Walt Disney World theme park tickets, available for active or retired members of the US Military and their spouses who can present a valid and active US Military ID.  Park Hopper options and Genie+ service can be added to these tickets and they can be at US Military Bases or by visiting the Shades of Green website.

Disney Military Salute tickets have a purchase limit of six per year and one of those tickets must be used by the Eligible Service Member or their spouse.  If you need more than six tickets for your party and you'll be traveling with Guests under 10, I recommend assigning the Military Salute tickets to adults and purchasing tickets for any children ages 3-9 at a lower price point.  And remember, if you have any children 2 and under in your party, they won't need a ticket to enter Walt Disney World theme parks.

Once you've purchased your tickets, you'll need to make theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system.  This can be done on the Walt Disney World website or directly from your phone using the My Disney Experience mobile app.  If your tickets include the Park Hopper option, you only need to make a theme park reservation for the first park you plan to visit each day –– you'll be able to hop to your next park beginning at 2:00 PM.

Before you arrive, don't forget to download your new Disney Vacation Club Digital Membership Card to the digital wallet of your smartphone.  You can do this by signing in to the My Disney Experience app with the Disney Account linked to your DVC Membership and creating a new Disney MagicMobile pass.  With access to all your Member Benefits right at your fingertips, I like to think of it as having your very own Membership magic wand!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Diane.  I'm wishing you and your family lots of pixie-dusted adventures during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
