Hi Mandy,
If you are travelling with infants and young children, Disney Vacation Club Resorts are ideal. Even in the Deluxe Studios, I find the extra room space and amenities (including kitchenettes) to be game changing. And the true "home-away-from-home" amenities found in the larger 1-3 Bedroom Villas, Cabins, Treehouses and Bungalows, including full kitchen facilities, makes travelling with young children a breeze.
Mandy, in terms of cribs, you are correct that Disney is moving toward the easy-to-assemble Pack ‘n Play cribs in all
Disney Vacation Club Resorts. However, most Resorts also have limited quantities of hard sided larger cribs, which can be requested in advance or at the time of check-in on a first-come, first served basis. While Disney will try their best to accommodate your request, unfortunately, they cannot guarantee that a hard sided larger crib will be available during your stay. Therefore, if this is something you feel that you would prefer over a Pack ‘n Play unit, you may wish to consider renting a crib from a third party provider. There are plenty of companies who provide cribs and other gear for babies and families travelling to Walt Disney World, and who will even deliver directly to your Resort. (Please note that in most cases, your delivery will be subject to a
Disney Resort package handling fee.)
Wishing you a most happy holiday with your little Mouseketeers Mandy!
Trish
